Our first two weeks have gone by very fast. We our settling into our daily schedule. We are still having fun with Pete the Cat. He just seems to turn up everywhere! Have fun playing I Spy Pete the Cat in each picture with your child.

Afternoon Class
Free choice is the part of our day when the children can choose as to what centers they would like to play in. The various centers that I have set up in our room so far are the playdough center, the fine motor center, the writing center, the kitchen center, the block center, the art center, the computer center and the science center.
The science center is very popular right now because of the four hermit crabs I just brought in. One of the crabs was very active and I took a short video of it. Usually hermit crabs like to hide in their shells so it was neat watching it be on the move.
We also have three caterpillars that we are watching carefully. They started out so small and seem to have gotten bigger everyday. We noticed that they sure do like to eat milkweed leaves.
